Shout-I was wrong

I think my rather dry sense of humor doesn't quite come through on paper...perhaps a future in journalism is not for me.
First my mom said she thought I was being mean to my Dear Husband (DH)she thought it stood for something else. And my then my postsers came and they said I wasn't a nice girl. So I went back and read my post again (the one that I did teasingly show to DH before I posted it) and he said that it was my sense of humor or lack there of. So DH I love you for knowing me and my poor sense of humor and enduring me when I claim to be right. And to my teacher for loving my heart even when it's not worth loving.
I'm sorry for being a know-it-all, and I ask for grace and love from you and my Father. Thank you for loving me in my sin.

Shhh-I was right

I was right, according to the Westminster Confession Of Faith (1646)

I will begin this...In my sin, yes, my desire to prove my husband wrong...I said that everything you do before you are a Christian is in Sin. My base for that was the scripture that says something like you do no good thing outside of Christ. DH said I was wrong and went on about what he thought blah blah blah. Then he suggested I ask my bible study leader about it. So I did. My teacher believed I was wrong and spoke about common grace and nonbelievers. I wasn't ready to hop on this band wagon, so since then I have been looking for more answers and I have found them. So in my sin again I am declaring myself right.

Here it is...
Chapter XVI
Section VII.
Works done by unregenerate men, although for the matter of them they may be things which God commands, and of good use both to themselves and others; yet, because they proceed not from a heart purified by faith; nor are done in a right manner, according to the Word; not to a right end, the glory of God; they are therefore sinful and can not please God, or make a man meet to receive grace from God.And yet their neglect of them is more sinful, and displeasing unto God.

So bloggers what say you?

The Exorcist

That was nearly the view at our house tonight. I have heard, I have said, this time, I think I got it...Don't judge others. More specifically their parenting.
This evening Tyler drank a bottle of Children's Motrin. The entire bottle, less one teaspoon.
I had given Jack some Mortin for a temperature, put the bottle back on the counter, twisted the top back on, but not to the point that it clicked. I had Jack in one hand Tyler winding around my feet and the medicine dropper in the other hand. I didn't want to spill the bottle so I didn't apply the extra pressure I needed to get it to click on all the way. I figured I would put Jack down and go back and do it... Big surprise, I totally forgot about the medicine until Tyler came out with the full bottle. He proceeded to dump the full bottle on the floor. My first thought was my carpet (I know great Mom), but he had filled it back up with water, then there was another spot behind it where he dumped the first bottle full, again water. I'm feeling pretty good now, I think Tyler went back when I told him to wash his hands, found the medicine and dumped it down the drain. Enter DH "DID HE DRINK IT? SMELL HIS BREATH, SMELL HIS BREATH NOW. DO IT!!!" DH is easily stressed, poor guy. So now I'm like oh crap the kid has over dosed, yes he had bubblegum flavored motrin breath. I am going to call the poison control number, but decide to call a physician friend first. He's doing the math on the phone and then tells me it's better to call poison control, but he thinks it's ok. Poison control does more math on the phone and says "well, unless he goes back to the bathroom cracks open another bottle and drinks it, I'm not concerned" during this call physician friend beeps in, but I don't want to disturb the math so I don't click over. I call him back after p.c. lets me go and he says to give him some epicac just to be sure. DH doesn't like this idea...I think it's the idea of cleaning up puke, but he says he read an article blah blah blah. I think about it, decide I don't think the risk is too high so I pray and trust in DH's decision. In the mean time he calls Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Walgreens, and our pediatrician...just to be sure.
Anyway...it is now 11:00 DS is passed out-from exhaustion not over dose DH is passed out from exhaustion and I'm watching reruns of Will and Grace-Can't sleep when I worry about my baby. Think I'll check in on him at 12 and call it a night.
A night without a recreation of the exorcist.

First Day of School

On my way to school for the first time (kind of)

See the smile ^ I have no idea I am about to be at school...Without Mom

Today was Jackson's sort of first day of preschool. When he turned a year he went to a mother's morning out program in downtown Buford for about three months, but brother was there and those people knew him from the time he popped out.

So we pulled up to First Baptist Sugar Hill AKA The Family Church (hehehe that name cracks me up)about a half an hour early, so we could meet our teacher, since we kinda missed the orientation last night, woops.

His teacher is THE picture of preschool. She is short and thin and blond with a teeny tiny voice, but she is adorable and sweet and loves children. Jackson did really well today, and had a fun time playing with his new friends.

Tomorrow he will be going from 9-12 with brother to keep him safe, and for Tuesdays and Thursdays from here on out, or atleast until May, I'm F-R-E-E, to go to the gym, grocery store, gas station...yeah.

Happy 25th Andy

Good Morning Daddy! Happy Birthday
Time to wake Daddy up, it's 9:00 a.m. and we are HUNGRY, plus Mommy needs a shower. We are on our way to church, and running a bit late...the best way to wake Daddy up is to put a Jackson Tush on his head.

Birthday boy with his birthday carrot cake
This was the last minute birthday cake to go with the last minute birthday party! Andy was feeling sick and so we cancelled the party, but one of our guests didn't get the message and showed up anyway...so we decided to go ahead with the party called our friends back and uncancelled. We partied down for 4 hours until everyone crashed and one of the kids found a mushroom in the yard and ate it! So, after a chit chat with poison control we sent everyone home and put the kids to bed.

Our bestest friends, Leonard, Pammy and 1 of 4 chillin's, Claire.
We love our friends so much, and are praying that they will stay here with us forever and never move away . But we do love them very much and have been so encouraged by them. But, I will save my Ferron post for another full day!

Happy Birthday Andy! I love you so much and am so glad that you have made it a quarter century, promise me three more and I will keep getting you the last minute carrot cake.
Your devoted, loving, bride.
