Prayer Request

I received this from Colleen asking for prayer

I need some help in getting as many people as possible to pray for a 3 year old little boy and his family. Last Friday, Logan Stehno was accidentally run over by his Grandpa. Logan's grandparents and parents are very good friends of mine and my husband's. Grandpa was leaving the house to go pick up Logan's sisters at school and did not see Logan follow him out of the house. Grandma was taking care of Logan's 4 year old sister. Sadly, when Grandpa was backing out, he backed over Logan's head and chest. Lo gan just has some bruised organs from the chest injury, but the head injury is much more severe. Logan is currently in a drug induced coma. The doctors at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston are going to try to start bringing him out of the coma today. If there are complications that arise, they will then put him back into a coma and cool his body so that the brain can begin to heal. His brain is still quite swollen. It is still too early to tell if Logan will have any permanent brain damage or even if Logan will survive. We are asking for prayers for Logan, of course, for his mom and dad Jeff & Michelle, his sisters Shelby, Haley, and Makenzie. We are asking for special prayers for Grandma and Grandpa George & Lydia Yackel. Thank the Lord that Lydia is a retired nurse and was able to perform CPR on Logan until they arrived @ the hospital. These families live in a very rural area, and if they had waited for an ambulance, Logan probably would not have lived. We are just asking that The Lord embrace this family in his healing arms and bring this family through this. We are wanting for enough people to pray for this family all across the US and beyond so they will feel the prayers working while they keep their vigilance with Logan. Please forward this prayer request to as many people as you can. Thank you and may God Bless You!

Very Busy Monday

My mom came up to see me yesterday and brought her van so we could pick a couple things up that are too big for my car.

We got a new rug for the living room, two hydrangeas, a Jane Magnolia and a picnic table.
The rug looks great and I started work on the picnic table; we had one at our old house and we loved it-$80 and you can seat 6 people-can't beat that. Our last one warped and posed a few minor health threats-so I am staining this one (to make it pretty) and then I'm going to put a coat of polyurethane on it so we can avoid minor safety code violations. I will post pictures when I get a card reader on my computer.

Also I went out today to my friend Jen's house and helped her dig up three bushes, replant two of them and then plant a hydrangea-it all looked super great.

new laptop

I have had lots of big plans for uploading pictures, but Andy got me a new laptop and it doesn't have a card reader yet :(

For spring break we went to the aquarium and had a great time. Jackson loved the whale sharks and had to have a stuffed one when we were leaving. (Tyler scored a jelly fish). This stuff farely bores me and Tyler apparently, but Jackson and my Mom loved it. We had a full week of fun trips-to keep Mommy sane :)
Monday-To Costco with Jen where she got a membership-so super fun!! Then Home Depot where things did not go so well.
Tuesday-We went to Discover Mills to hear the story time AND get my book that was released that day-Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner, and we got Stride Rite shoes buy one get one half off 30 bucks and two pairs of shoes-plus really cute flips for me and leather sandals for the boys
Wednesday-we had a playgroup at Bogan Park with all our friends and it was sooo fun, picnic and all, but we got bad sun burns-especially me. I had quite the racoon look going- thanks to my sunglasses.
Thursday- I'm pretty sure we played with someone-I can't remember now! If your still reading by now you should be happy to skip this one.
Friday-The aquarium ALL day

We were all glad to get back on board with school the next week-a little break for Mommy and a tighter schedule for the girls.

Vacation Ft. Lauderdale

No pictures yet-just add camera drama to the list of vacation drama we encountered.

This was our first time using Spirit airlines, our first time taking a flight that wasn't non-stop and the last time we will ever do it again.

Upon our arrival we were charged 20 dollars per bag at check-in-apparently 10 if you do it online ahead of time. Then once we are on the plane-an hour late-we are informed we will be stopping in Orlando before we go on to Ft. Lauderdale. We wait an hour from the time we get on the plane to the time we start to take off, now we only have one hour to swap planes in Ft. L., but that should be enough-oh no not when you sit in Orlando for another hour. Flight attendants assure all of us that the flight to Mexico will wait for us-well no, it doesn't. AND since it was because of air traffic control that our flight was delayed that's not their fault. "I'm sorry Ma'am. It's not your fault, and it's not our fault. There's nothing we can do. We will reschedule on the first flight out tomorrow."
I'm sorry if it's not my fault why am I paying for the hotel and dinner and breakfast? We had two pairs of honeymooners with us and the brides were in tears-one of them wasn't getting a flight our until the next day at 2:30. We had a 10:30 flight out and our great hotel said they wouldn't charge us a no show fee-isn't that nice of them? You wouldn't think it would take that long to sort all this out-you'd be wrong. Something like this takes about 5 hours to sort out. That's how long it takes to rebook 15 people-5 hours.

So we stayed at a VERY sketch hotel with a bar next door that was just as sketch-a few shots later and it was all very tolerable. We got to Cancun at 1 on Monday, lost a day of our trip but were ready to keep rolling. But apparently I left my medicine in Ft. L. so I threw up everyday for the rest of the trip and three times on the plane home. I am going to need a good long vacation from airplanes and vacation! AND my tan is pretty weak to boot!

On the bright side I realized how much I love my family, I missed my hubby and kids soooo much and am really glad to be home with my boys and my bed. I will post some pictures once I get the camera to cooperate.
